About Me

Melissa
I grew up in a village of 500 people and now live in a beach town of 10 000. Wife to Jeff, Mama to Makenna and Jack. This is my place to share what's up with us, and the place where I sometimes need to pour my heart out about the not so sunshiney moments. This is my happy place. Easter Treats!

For me, Easter is almost as fun as Christmas to prepare for in the kitchen. So many cute recipes to try. After browsing through my collections from Family Fun, Today's Parent and Canadian Family Magazines I turned to some of my favourite foodie/crafty blogs. Here's what we came up with this year.

For my 7 most favourite little people: Marshmallow Kabobs.

...Jellybeans keep falling on my head...

The idea for which I got here.

For the grownups and the kids(most of whom are officially adults now, but very much still kids at heart) chocolate chip cookie dough truffles. No, these are not really "Easter" specific, but they are so good that I jump at any occasion to make them. They haven't even seen them yet and already my family is making plans for leftovers, if there are any.

You may remember I made them at Christmas time. The recipe comes from here. Hmmm...I guess I could have formed them into egg shapes.

And finally...by request - Cheesecake. I decided to try a "mini egg" cheesecake. Hopefully it tastes good!

The recipe for this...is in my head ;)

Happy Easter everyone!

:)
