About Me

Melissa
I grew up in a village of 500 people and now live in a beach town of 10 000. Wife to Jeff, Mama to Makenna and Jack. This is my place to share what's up with us, and the place where I sometimes need to pour my heart out about the not so sunshiney moments. This is my happy place. Meal Plan!

Last week, for a few reasons (mostly because I just didn't get around to it), i didn't make a meal plan. and the results were...terrible! It is so easy for us to fall into the trap of eating quick, processed, crappy food every night. I truly do need to pre-plan it in order to ensure we are eating (somewhat) healthy. I think after a few weeks of doing a meal plan, and then not doing one last week, Jeff noticed the difference too, because he insisted on doing one and then grocery shopping for it tonight.

Soooooo....

Saturday: BBQ steak, cheesy potatoes and veg

Sunday: Pasta with spinach and ground chicken

Monday: Chicken Divan and Rice

Tuesday: Hotdogs (I am not home for supper)

Wednesday: Chicken Fingers and Sweet potato fries...did you see the sweet deal on "Janes" chicken fingers, nuggets and burgers at Zehrs? On sale for $4.99...a savings of $7 off per box!
Jeff is not home for supper

Thursday: Quesadillias

Friday: Pizza

Seriously he grocery shops without you being sick...I have to be on my deathbed before I can convince Brandon to even go near Zehrs!

jeff likes to cook more than I do, so he doesn't mind grocerys hopping. He;s not one to comparison price things, or stick to a budget or list though, which can sometimes be a bad thing. lol, i remember one time, YEARS ago, he bought lunchmeat, paid no attention to the price per 100 grams and ended up paying $13. He paid attention after that.
