Kids in the kitchen

So...to recap:

I am a foodie. I like to talk about it, cook it, bake it, and eat it. I don't like to clean it up.

I also like to cook and bake with my kids, and talk and learn about children's nutrition and fun ways to get them to eat healthy.

I believe allowing the kids in the kitchen with you creates a valuable experience, not just for them, but also for you. I started to jot down points to support this thought, and went off searching for research to validate my belief that having kids in the kitchen is a good thing.

Then I came across an article that had everyting I wanted to say, already said!

So, as I am not one to reinvent the wheel, I will refer you to this article.

And, with all of that in mind, I have an idea.

The Plan: Every Sunday I will post a blog about one or both of the kids and I as we create something in the kitchen. The recipes will come from magazine articles, kids cookbooks, family recipes, etc and will definitely be "kid friendly". If on some Sundays I can't post an actual recipe of something we have created, then I plan to post a kid friendly cookbook, or some fun food facts, food related craft ideas, or something else related to kids and food.

That's the plan...we'll see how it goes!
